WordPress Maintenance & Support for South Jersey Businesses
Your website is the one piece of your business that runs 24 hours a day without a day off. I keep it that way — updates applied, security watched, backups taken, and a real person to call when something looks wrong.

What happens to a WordPress site nobody maintains
WordPress sites don't fail all at once. They drift.
- The form stops workingA plugin updates and quietly breaks your contact form. Enquiries stop arriving and nobody notices for three weeks.
- The site gets usedCore falls a few versions behind, and a known vulnerability turns your site into someone else's spam server.
- The backups were never runningNobody finds out until the day they're needed — and by then the work is simply gone.
I've been called in to clean up all three. It is always more expensive than maintaining the site would have been, and it always happens at the worst possible time.
Plans
Webcare plans
Month to month. Cancel whenever it stops being worth it.
Upkeep
$129/mo
Best for businesses that just need the site to work.
- WordPress core and plugin updates, applied and checked — not just clicked
- Daily security and vulnerability scanning
- 24/7 uptime monitoring, so I know it's down before you do
- Daily off-site backups
- Priority restoration if something goes wrong
- $85/hour on anything beyond the plan — my lowest rate, automatically
Priority Partner
$199/mo
Best for sites that change regularly.
- Everything in Upkeep, plus:
- One full hour of flex time each month, used however you like — it doesn't roll over, so use it
- Content updates and design tweaks
- Direct technical consulting — text me the question
- Priority on everything, not just emergencies
Hourly help
Need more than your plan covers?
Every hour is billed at $85 — my lowest rate — automatically, for as long as you're on a plan. No hour packs, no minimum, nothing to buy up front to earn it. Being on webcare is what gets you the rate.
Without a plan, my hourly rate depends on the size of the block you buy, starting at $100. Either way I track everything in 15-minute increments and bill only for real work that moves your site forward.

Site down? Hacked? Start here.
If your site is offline, defaced, throwing errors or flagged by Google, I take emergency work ahead of everything else. I'll tell you what happened, what it costs to fix, and what to change so it doesn't happen again. You don't need to be on a plan to call me for this — but webcare clients always get priority.
Emergency, weekend and holiday work is billed at 1.5x. See rates.

Where I work
Serving South Jersey
I'm based in Mount Laurel and work with businesses across Burlington and Camden counties. Most of my clients I've met in person. If you're elsewhere in New Jersey, webcare works just as well remotely — the monitoring and updates don't care where you are.

Questions
Frequently asked
What's the difference between the two plans?
Upkeep keeps the site healthy. Priority Partner does that and gives you an hour a month of my time for changes — new content, a new page section, a tweak you've been meaning to ask about. The hour doesn't roll over, so it's worth actually using.
Do you take on sites you didn't build?
Yes, and most of my webcare clients came to me that way. I do a short review first so I know what I'm taking responsibility for, and I'll tell you honestly if the site needs work before a plan makes sense.
What counts as a content update?
Text changes, swapping images, adding a page, updating staff or service listings, publishing a post. If it's bigger than that I'll estimate it before starting.
Is there a contract?
No. Webcare is month to month. If it stops being worth it, cancel.
What if my site goes down at 2am?
Uptime monitoring alerts me, not just you. Webcare clients always get priority. Emergency work outside normal hours is billed at 1.5x.
Do you host websites too?
I do — managed hosting is separate from webcare, and the two work well together. See hosting.
“Spencer has updated and maintains our website. It is not hyperbole to say he has been the one holding it together. Spencer is a trusted advisor of working with websites.”
