WordPress Consulting, Web Design, & SEO Rates for Spencer Taylor

When you work with me, you're hiring the person who actually does the work — no agency layers, no account managers, no markup. You buy a block of hours up front, and the more you buy, the lower your rate: $100/hour for a 5-hour block, down to $85/hour at 20 hours. Those hours are yours to use however you need.

I track everything in 15-minute increments and bill only for real work — development, design, updates, and search engine optimization — that actually moves your project forward. No padded "project fees," no time you can't account for. When an invoice lands, you know exactly what it covers.

Most standard changes are turned around in 2–3 business days. For larger builds or new functionality, I give you a straight, good-faith estimate before I start, so there are no surprises.

The idea is simple: clear rates, honest tracking, and a direct line to the person building your site.

Frequently Asked Questions About My Rates

Do my credits expire?

Your credit hours never expire. What is locked for 12 months is the rate you purchased at. After that, any remaining time is adjusted to the current billing rate, so it is worth less time than when you bought it, but it stays yours to use.

Credits are non-refundable.

Billable Time

Billable time includes development, design, updates, emails, and phone/video consultations. Time is tracked in 15-minute increments.

Turnaround Time (SLA)

Standard turnaround time for tasks can vary depending on their scope. Straightforward website changes are generally handled in 2–3 business days.

Adding functionality or changing functionality of an existing website can vary depending significantly, as can creation of complete new websites. In these circumstances, I will give you a best faith estimate on how long it will take.

Emergency or weekend/holiday work is billed at 1.5x the standard rate.

Third-Party Costs

Rates do not include costs for premium plugin licenses, stock photography, or domain/hosting renewals.

For many core software products, namely WordPress plugins and themes, I can provide developer licenses. For example, this is often the case with Elegant Themes' Divi Theme, and several of the plugins I rely on in my development stack. However, it can vary depending on the scope of your project, and I will let you know if there is an associated cost for plugins, themes, or software for your project.

For all software I provide as a developer, support is limited to the time you are an active client of mine. I cannot provide any support once I am no longer responsible for building or maintaining your website.
